The Chairlift on Bray Head, Co.Wicklow – a popular attraction with visitors and locals alike which is sadly no more.

Jaunting Car, Killarney, Co.Kerry – published by John Hinde. Every visitor to Killarney probably has a similar photograph in their family album – I know I do!

Clifden, Co.Galway” by John Hinde.

ICONIC CARD  ICONIC 2  CONNEMARA JOHN HINDE

Left to right: The map of Ireland – still being published; “Kylemore Abbey” by John Hinde and, yes, the real thing is as good if not better than the postcard!

The bottom one, surely the best known Irish card of all time, but was always too ‘Oirish‘ for my liking – definitely one for the Yanks.
